Support independent, verified journalism.
VNN is independent: no advertiser, sponsor or donor decides what we cover.
Your contribution pays for the reporting, fact-checking and corrections behind every story, and keeps them free to read.
Questions
Where does my money go?
Into the newsroom: reporting, verification, editing and corrections, and the cost of publishing VNN online. VNN is independent: no advertiser, sponsor or donor decides what we cover.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Contributions to VNN are not tax-deductible.
How do I change or stop a monthly or annual contribution?
Sign in on your account page with the email address you gave and choose Stop my contribution. It stops at the end of the period you have already paid for. You can change the card it uses there too. To change the amount, stop it and give again at the new amount, or email [email protected].
Does a contribution unlock subscriber stories or remove ads?
No. Contributions support VNN’s journalism for everyone. Subscriber stories need a subscription, and contributors see the same advertising as other readers.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if you were charged more than once, charged after you stopped, charged without your permission, or charged an amount you did not intend. Email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. The Subscription & Purchase Terms (section 19) explain contributions in full.
Is the payment secure?
Yes. You pay on VNN’s secure payment page, and your card details go straight to our card payment processor, encrypted: VNN never sees or stores your full card number. Payments appear as “VNN NEWS” on your bank or card statement.
Do I need an account?
No password is needed. We keep a reader account for the email address you give, so you can see your contributions and manage a monthly or annual one. You sign in with a one-time link we email you.
